With the development of market economy, the enterprise in our country faces large competitive pressure. So the better enterprise management information system is required urgently in order to adapt the drastic competitive environment. As the leading software of enterprise information, the ERP software has become a tool of enhancing the level of business administration and strengthening the competing force. Materials Management Information System is the important subsystems of ERP systems software; and it is the core of the enterprise material management. Valid inventory management can improve the space utilization ratio of the warehouse; reduce the occupation of funds and operating costs, and. raise productivity. Scientific equipment management is propitious to ensure the production of high quality and low cost and to complete the task in time. So it is of great importance to study the Materials Management Information System.The main research object of this subject is the material management information system of LangChao general software Company's ERP system (My GS).Firstly introducing the development procedure and basic principle of ERP, this paper expatiates the relationship between material management system and other systems and accounts for the necessary theories and concepts involved in system design. Then based on the common features of material management, the paper mainly analyzes special demands of Group enterprises, and illuminates the basic principle, design and development procedure in supplies management unit, which belongs to modem Enterprise Resource Planning Management System grounded on ERP concept.Its functions include actual business demand and data structure design. The contents are as follows:1. This paper proposes the Browser/Server structure of three-tier as this system's frame. ERP systems based on the mode of B/S that of C/S, such as low development cost, easy to install and many advantages over maintain, being able to run on different platforms, etc. So it becomes the mainstream of current ERP system. 2. The principle of the material management information system is studied. According to the actual manufacture of YanSha Group, the requirement analyses of the subsystems are completed, and the data stream and function modules of these subsystem are designed, and then the function modules are developed in detail. Following the characteristic that drives with use-case of the UML, on the basis of analyzing requirement of material management system in the enterprise, we build Use Case model. In the course of modeling we make use of Use Case diagram to finish the static modeling and dynamic modeling, and describe development process and architecture of the system from diverse point of view in diverse phase.3. Because the purview domination is an important problem in B/S system, this thesis chooses RBAC model as purview domination model after comparing three purview dominations (DAC, MAC and RBAC).4. The system reaches anticipative effect. The implement of the system proves that it is rational designed and able to be operated conveniently, with a good interface available. It can improve the efficiency of the work greatly.The popular ASP.NET technology has been adopted in our system, and NET is used as its development platform. .NET is Microsoft' software exploitation imagination based on Internet platform of next generation, whose potential idea is not paying attention to single network or single device but all computer group, relative device and service providers work in phase and providing more comprehensive and abundant resolution. This system is of great help to the establishment of the pattern for easily-got information, dynamic management and monitoring.Because of using UML, the process of this system's development becomes more formal and faster. The practice proves the modeling technology based on UML was a good technology.
