High-speed, high-resolution, non-contact, adjustability and low cost characterize the Optical 3D shape measurement technique. It has been widely used in Reverse Engineering, CAD, Numerical Control Machining, fast Moulding, Product Quality Inspection and medical science etc.The progress situations of Optical 3D shape measurement technique are presented in this paper, especially Grating Projection Profilometry and Digital Holography Profilometry. In chapter 4, According to the theory of scalar diffraction, firstly, the equipollence of spatial distribution of the plane-wave interferential field and parallel projective sine grating is discussed. Secondly, according to the geometrical optics, the modulation of structure light by the parallel projective illumination and the emanative projective illumination is discussed to derive the height formula correspond to these two illuminative mode. Finally, the feasibility of the formula has been presented by academic simulation.
