GMTAF Testing Automation Framework Design And Implement

With the development of software industry, the software testing phase, which has tightly relation with software quality, has been recognized by more and more software users and developers. Nowadays, testing does not run as the function testing after all the code ready; with the developing of software testing technique, testing has been participated in every section of software life cycle, beginning from the software requirement analysis to quality evaluation of the software before delivering to user or publishing, it needs testing more and more. As testing becomes more and more important, volume of testing also becomes higher and higher at the same time, projects all like to have testing automated, especially for the regression test which need repeated running. All project members hope it could reduce the cost and risk by testing automation, in order to assure the quality before delivering; also at the same time, project manager could have a good resource allocation to have a better software quality.This paper will do research on the existing testing automation strategy, testing framework and automation tools. Based on existing strategy and framework, combining with automation testing tools, from the testing automation aspect, we will build up the framework for testing automation.This paper introduces the backgrounds and existing issues of software testing, and the knowledge of software testing and testing automation. Then based on the analysis of test automation framework and requirement, I will give out the design of testing automation framework, including choosing a proper tools for automation, introducing the functions of the framework and how to implement the functions. Next, it will have introduction on how this framework apply in GFX. At last, this paper will have a brief discussion and further research on the maintenance and enhancement of this framework.
