The automatic identification of the modulation types has been applied to many fields such as signal identification, interference identification, radio interception, signal monitoring, etc. The objective of automatic modulation identification is to decide the modulation type and estimate the modulation parameters without any prior knowledge about the signal information content. On the basis of previous research, the paper adopted a statistical pattern recognition framework. According to the analysis and the estimate of characteristic parameter, we obtain an automatic identification method base on statistics of instantaneous frequency and constellation. The paper also validates the performance according to lots of emulation and obtains the SNR required identifying various signal types. At same time the paper introduce some theoretic such as higher-order statistics, artificial neural network. |
