A Research On How To Realize Dynamic Effects Of Environment Matting

Digital matting has been widely used in making film special effects and image combination, since its production. Up to now, digital matting can only tackle the part occlusion phenomena at the edge of the front objects, instead of the reflection and refraction phenomena. These become a great shortcoming of digital matting. Environment matting introduces the reflection and refraction phenomena into digital matting, by adding an item into the matting model. It increased the fields that digital matting can be used in. Besides, with Real-time captured environment matting extraction and composition technology, we can get limited dynamic effects of environment matting. In this paper, we point out some problems and limitations in current dynamic environment matting technology, categorize the methods to realize dynamic environment matting by their effects, and propose the resolutions to some of the problems in this area.The main work in this paper includes:(1) A simplest categorization of dynamic environment matting problems is addressed.
