Now the popularization of the Second ID Card is imperative under the situation. For its numerous amounts, highly-quality demand and pressing arrangement, it is necessary to establish some criterion for the digital photo of ID card. According to the demand of ID card, the thesis works on adjustments of rotation, face detection, highlight correction, zoom, shear and background mostly. And the researches of the article have been done as follows:(1) For rotation adjustment, a method, based on SUSAN corner detection algorithm, is presented in the thesis. And the rotated image is rectified exactly by the symmetry of the portrait image and the invariant to rotation of shoulder corner. Then the detail of images is preserved by the approximately geometrical processing based on the bi-cubic interpolation algorithm.(2) For face detection, a new skin model, which adopts HSCC skin model, is used for the skin area extraction. Using this way, face area pre-detection is done in order to reduce those jobs in the further steps. After that, AdaBoost algorithm is used to face detection and eye detection.
