Since 1990's, with the fast development of computer technique, information processing and network communication, as one of the most important techniques in the field of information security, information hiding has also made rapid development. Information hiding is a new technology that combines many subjects together, which includes computer, communication, encoding, signal processing, and statistics and so on. At present, in this field, steganography and steganalysis are the two problems that caused comprehensive attention and intense interest of people.Steganalysis mainly includes the detection, extraction and recovery of hidden messages, and has significant meaning of two aspects. On the one hand, by intercepting the communication of enemy and obtaining valuable intelligence, the initiative can be achieved. On the other hand, for designing steganographic system that has strong security, the research of steganalysis has instructional signification, and can improve the secrecy ability of our own.In this paper, the detection of hidden messages in palette images, i.e. the technique of steganalysis was mainly researched. On the basis of deeply studying steganographic algorithms of palette images and referring to the most popular steganalytic algorithms, the characteristics of palette images after embedding secret messages with existing algorithms were analyzed and the corresponding steganalytic algorithms were proposed. The main work of this paper includes the following four aspects.1. Analyzing the steganographic algorithms on palette images, and three algorithms based on the content of image, EzStego, the algorithm based on the sum of components and the algorithm based on optimal parity assignment were researched.2. Three algorithms, EzStego, the algorithm based on the sum of components and the algorithm based on optimal parity assignment were analyzed based on the method of visual detection, and the binary images were given respectively. By analyzing binary images, the conclusion that the three algorithms can resist visual detection can be achieved. The detection principle of steganalytic algorithm based on peculiar colors aimed at optimal parity assignment and the sum of components steganography was seriously researched.
