Information technology plays more and more important role in modern militaryaffairs it is a key factor in determining the outcome of war. So information warfare hasbecome a main combat of the modern war. Communication confrontation is the core ofinformation warfare, and an important component of Communication confrontation isthe signal modulation recognition. Modulation recognition is a common topic of signalprocessing and pattern recognition, which is to decide the modulation mode andestimate the parameters of given signals in the absence of prior knowledge. Withmodulation recognition occupying an increasingly important position in the field ofelectronic warfare and Communication confrontation, research work in this area hasbecome more active.Algorithm based on Constellation diagram is researched in this thesis. The ISIcaused by multipath effects can affect the constellation largely, so the blindequalization technology is used to overcome multipath channel effects and the synchronization error before signals identification. Then the signals are processed by Peakclustering,normalizing the constellation diagram. Consequently, constellation diagram is rebuilt. Thus, MPSK and MQAM signals can be classified when match them with standard constellation patterns. Compared with former algorithm, this algorithm considers the influence of multipath effects and system synchronization error, and it has excellent expansibility.
