The Research Of Detection System Of Watermark Bar Of Euros Based On DSP

Watermark bars are one of the new anti-counterfeit technologies applied by Euros. Because they carry Euros'special information so it is promising and practical to make research on the method to detect watermark bars quickly and accurately: First, we can identify counterfeit notes by the detection of watermark bars; Second, because watermark bars carry Euro notes'value, we can count currencies of different value by the detection of watermark bars and improve the operation of currency count machine; Third, by researching on the detection method of this advanced anti-counterfeit character we can import this technology into financial coupons and RMB notes to maintain our country's financial safety. This paper introduces our research on the detection system of watermark bars in Euros. The work has been done as follows:1. Design the detection method of watermark bars of Euros. According to the formation mechanism we choose the light transmission method to make detection and identification of watermark bars; By discussing and comparing the transmittance curves of different areas of Euros, we find the two conditions to detect and identify watermark bars; We apply correlation coefficient to identify watermark bars of different Euros and extract the corresponding value information of Euros of different value; FFT algorithm is applied to simplification the program and reduce compute time.2. According to the design requirement we complete the hardware design of the detection system.3. Design the software part of the system. The software design is composed of MCU software part and DSP software part.4. Use the detection system to make experiments and get the signals and output. And make analyze of the results and experiment curves of watermark bars of different Euros of different value. Compute the correlation coefficient of watermark bars'curve and provide the reason of why some correlation coefficient is low.
