The Plan For Digital Data Network Of KunMing Telecom

Digital Data Network (DDN),as the traditional groundwork data network,has been providing a good platform for other data networks and data subscribers.However, with the gradual increase of network size and transmission speed at the user's end,it becomes more and more difficult for DDN to satisfy the ever changing requirements.It's what has happened in the DDN of Kunming Telcom.Under such circumstances, the Data Communication Bureau of Yunnan Province and Data Communication Branch Bureau of Kunming Telecom respectively brought forward the issue of upgrade, planning and optimization of the Kunming DDN.To date, the initial stage of the upgrading has been completed. During the upgrade, a number of problems were identified. Due to our familiarity of the upgrading and the overall structure of the DDN of Kunming Telecom, the Data Communication Bureau of Yunnan Province entrusted this company with the planning and optimization of the whole DDN network.Through the planning, the increasing demand from the users on the Kunming DDN in the coming years can be satisfied. The methodology used in the planning is to estimate the increasing scale in the next three years based on curve-fitting historical data in the past five years and then expand the capacity on this basis. Meanwhile, network optimization and adjustment will be deployed, such as the clean-up and sum-up of warning and error messages of the whole network which will server the reliable basis for future maintenance. They also include the configuration adjustment of node resources to achieve the reasonable utilization of resources. In addition, the traffic carried through the trunk line also needs to be reconfigured. A practicable and reasonable plan based upon the calculation results using the Maximum-Flow theory has to be formulated to avoid congestion and achieve average flow on the trunk line.
