AVS is the foundational technical standard which is of our own independent intellectual property. It is indispensabl technical support of audio/video industrial system of our contury. In the recent years, it will replace the MPEG standard, being the widely used audio/video standard in our contury. It will be widely applied to HDAB and SDAB, laser disk machine, moving multimedia communication, video conference and video monitor, wide band net stream media, digital film, etc.The central work of the paper are implementing the AVS decoder with dsp and developing a kind of AVS player. So, firstly, the paper has introduced and analysed the modules of AVS audio standard.And then, It disscusses how to transplant the float point program to the dsp platform, and how to optimize it. At last, we has implemented the AVS decoder on C6416 DSK, getting faily good performance. To go with industrialization, the paper has disscussed the implement of AVS player. The former develop of AVS or H.264 player is based on Microsoft DirectX SDK, it dooms that these softwares have to run only on Windows platform. But, AVS is a kind of widely applied standard, so it can't repose Windows and DirectX. The purpose of developing AVS player is to put it to multi domain, which is also the goal of the industrialization.At the end, it summarises the whole paper, disscusses the deficiency of the AVS encoder/decoder, incluing researching on multi channel coding, pre-echo control and low-bitrate coding, and puts forward the work plan in future.
