Restoration And Reconstruction Of Motion-blurred Image

With the development of the computer technology, the operational precision and rate of the computer have made great progress; the computer is used in the field of image processing far and wide. Image restoration is an important component of image processing, and the restoration of motion-blurred image is one of the important subjects of image restoration. The objective of the study is to integrate the traditional optical theory with the developing method of the digital image processing, to improve the restoration precision of the motion-blurred image and lower criterion of the optical equipment. It has realistic significance, applying in many fields, for example, military affairs, traffic, medical images, industry controlling and detective field.According to the character of the item, the paper studies restoration and reconstruction of the motion-blurred letter image mostly, but theory and practice prove that the method and conclusion are also suitable to the restoration and reconstruction of the common motion-blurred image. The paper applies optical theory to the restoration of the motion-blurred image and does work as follows:Firstly, propose an efficient identify approach for motion-blur parameters(motion-blur direction and motion-blur extent)from motion-blurred image via on directional derivation and autocorrelation method. All the parameters can be used in estimating the point spread function and image restoration.Secondly, based on the optical knowledge such as edge spread function > line spread function and point spread function etc., motion-blurred point spread function can be assessed through knife-edge function curve, according to the motion-blurred image. This method improves the estimating precision of the point spread function of motion-blurred image.At last, the improved Wiener filter is fabricated for recovering the motion-blurred image based on the motion-blurred point spread function. The restored image is very well. The experiment proves that: the method in this paper can assess the motion-blurred point spread function more exactly than the traditional method, can gain clear image with higher resolution and contrast. Finally, the paper evaluates the restored image effectively by the improvement of SNR and an evaluation function separately.
