With the stepwise development and improvement of China electric power market, the power industry will be changed from "seller's market" to "buyer's market ", which will give our power industry a great influence. As independent market main bodies, the power enterprises's operating goal will changed to pursuing the maximum benefits of the enterprise, and their working emphasis will be converted from power's generating, transporting and distributing to the market development, power demand's management and so on. With the mechanism's conversion, the traditional MIS (for example, power use MIS) has not already satisfied power enterprise's needs. How to build the information system to satisfy the needs of our power sale's decision has become our urgent affairs.Decision Support System(DSS) was putted forward under the background of no effective support on decision-making provided by present Management Information System(MIS). DSS orients to decision-making and is used for helping and assisting the supervisors to make decisions, so its data processing highly focuses on analytical processing. The DSS is planted in the transaction-processing environment for the sake of its data management based on the traditional data base that is mainly used for tran- sacttion processing. Although the application of data base technology on Online Transaction Processing (OLTP) gains great successes, it gives an unsatisfactory support on analytical processing all along due to the different characters between transaction-processing and analytical processing. DSS will play an active role in enterprise decision-making by recombining primitive data into the databases and forming a synthetic and analysis-oriented environment, which brings on the emergence of data warehouse. Data warehouse meets the requirements of the database management subsystem of DSS and organizes primitive data in the existing databases to analytical data that is suited to administrative decision. With the emergence of data warehouse,data mining technology and Online Analysis Processing (OLAP) technology also come out. These two technologies provide the powerful and energetic support for data analysis. Thus, a new pattern of DSS based on database warehouse and its relative technologies is proposed. The application of DSS based on data warehouse stands at its underway stage, so theoretical research on the system will make sense for practice.0nline analytical Processing and data mining are hot spots of research in the domain of database and artificial intelligence recently, after analyzing and processing a large amount of data,useful information and knowledge in those data can be obtain- ed to meet the demand of people's increasing desire of knowledge. Every day, the electric power production system consumes a great deal of materials to produce abundant electricity which is been used and sold,thus a plentifu1 of data about production and sale is accumulated. Today competition is more and more furious. companies demand eagerly to query these data at fast speed,then analyze it and get potential information in it, so the manager can gain knowledge in deep level and direct his company to produce and manage well.Although the DSS (Decision Support System) has developed for more than 20years, the research and development of the DSS has stayed in theory, it has not been put into practice, Because it is difficult to explore the traditional DSS based on the model base. The rising of the DW (Data Warehouse) technology and the OLAP (on-line analytical processing), DM(Data Mining) technology provides a new way for the development of DSS. The combination of the DW,OLAP,DM and the intelligence DSS come into being integration DSS. It becomes a new system of the DSS and a new hotspot. With the Business Objects, which is a new DSS tool integrating with query, report and analysis, We explored the "hyydfx" with DW and OLAP technology, which provides a graphical decision support environment, and can be used easily. It meets the needs of decision-makers. This enables them analyze the data from different angles and different sides, and they can make scientific decision. It's an application of DSS in the power field.The data mining (DM) technique which is used to discover the potential relationships and rules in vast data ware is the product of combining the artificial intelligence and data ware technique, and has already become an important method for intelligent decision and way for getting decision knowledge, and has the important applied research values in decision support systems.The new structural frame designing theory of power sale decision support system is presented based on careful demand analysis and design of power sale decision support system. The new frame has the features of decision problem's leading function and the combination of data ware(DW)techniques,on-line analytical process-ing(OLAP)techniques and data mining techniques, which can preferably satisfy the needs of power sale decision support.The OLAP technique based on DW is one of the important techniques in power sales aided decision support. A data house scheme on power sales is presented based on careful analysis of data house; The OLAP analytical contents and methods are studied; The multidimensional analysis of power quantity and rate is designed and carried out by use of Business Object OLAP tool, including universe design, general query report form design, slicing, drilling, circumrotating and so on.The DM and OLAP are the critical techniques of data analysis, the multidimensional data mining model combining both techniques can enhance the performance and effects of data analysis. As far as the choosing method of mining space in multi dimensional mining model, a new ANN structure and algorithm are posed, which avoids the problem of complicated nonlinear modeling and has less calculating than general ANN variable method.This thesis includes four parts, part1 and part2 dissertate the theory and knowledge of the DSS,DW,OLAP and Part4 introduces the "hyydfx", which is explored with BO. It is an example of the application of the DW, OLAP technology in DSS, which is the elementary exploration of advancing the DSS from theory to practice. Lastly, according to a practical project, the thesis illustrates how to build a data warehouse to support Electrical Assistant Decision Support System and manipulate data analysis to meet requirements of decision-making process.According to current situation of electrical industry, the thesis mainly emphasizes on putting forward a rational and feasible method to build a data warehouse in domestic electrical industry domain and implementing relative data analytical processing.
