With the rapid development of wireless communication services, the conflict between channel resources and customers'demand grows more and more acutely. Nowadays, the research of wireless network is focused on the performance analysis of wireless network protocol. With the analysis of performance, it can find out the shortage of the protocol. Then the improved scheme would be given out to improve the performance of network.Researching the characters of wireless channel, based on the research of wireless network protocol, a GMB wireless correlated channel model based on three states is given out. Then this paper provides an improved scheme of ARQ protocol based on GMB channel model and builds up a TCP/ARQ protocol stacks. With calculating and simulation, it analyzes the performance of original and improved stack. The achievements propose the theoretical and simulative basis for the research of wireless performance.Firstly, it analyzes the wireless correlated channel model based on two states. And a GMB wireless correlated channel model based on three states is given out. Then it derived the measurement of the system loss rate. Numerical results and simulation experiments are presented.Secondly, it analyzes the NAK-based SR ARQ protocol that widely used in wireless network based on GMB channel model and derives the measurements of loss frame rate and throughout. Numerical results and simulation experiments are presented to show the influence of retransmission timeout interval on throughout performance. Then the improved scheme is given out. It can make different NAK retransmission timeout interval based on different channel states. Finally, the proposed improved scheme of ARQ is used in building TCP/ARQ protocol stack. Performance measurement of system throughout isderived. Then it presents simulation experiments to show the change of performance between original and improved protocol.
