With the rapid development of automotive industry, the quantity of automotive climbs up quickly. The exhaust gas pollution had been major pollution source which do harm to our environment especially in principal cities. The exhaust gas pollution ranks the first in all kinds of pollution. The demands to reduce the pollution grow stronger than anytime. To solving this kind of problem, new emission standards and test methods accelerate to come on. It brings a chance for new technical innovation of exhaust measuring equipments. The measuring precision of traditional instrument can't meets nowadays' national standards. Purchasing new style exhaust analyzer is a essential method to adapt the new rigorous national standard. So the exhaust analyzer which has low cost and high performance becomes an instant requirement. It uses the thermopile sensor as the core, which developed in the last decade. The principle is based on non-dispersive infrared gas analyzing method. It can meet the new national standards request. It stands for new adventages which super to the traditional technique in volume, power dissipation, performance, price and so on.The dissertation discourses vehicle exhaust gas analyzer design method in what begin with practical implemenation plan. It put forward every element accordingly through introducing the application of exhaust gas analyzer in home and abroad and today situation, the thermopile sensor knowledge, the explanation of measuring principle. It consists of MCU which as the control kernel, CPLD which finish logic control and sensor units which as the sensing of outer world's changing. It including Friendly Human/Machine interface, reliable communication fashion. It also discourses the processing of hardware and software's design.exhaust gas analyzing, non dispersive infrared (NDIR), thermopile sensor, modulation, narrow band filter...
