Research On Video Abstract Generating Technology For Football Match

As the growing of internet and multi-media technology, digital video booms, such as news, advertisement, home video and etc. In a fast pace society, the rushing of digital video brings out a big question. How to browse large amount of video data very quickly, and how to represent huge video very concisely? These are the tasks of video summary technology.In this paper, we first review some key technologies of video abstract. And then we bring forward two special-purpose video abstract methods, which can be used to extract highlight scenes from football match video. The first method is based on video shot switching pattern. It divides all the video shots into two categories, and extracts highlight scenes based on the switching pattern of these two shot categories. The second method is based on the changing of video text. It locates the highlight scenes by detecting the changing of text in video stream.A next generation interactive video service platform is implemented in the last part of this paper. It is an experiment to put some of the popular video analysis technology into practice, and it is also a validation of the two foot match video abstract methods.
