Nowadays, in an era when contest levels are getting higher and higher, almost to the limit of human being, ordinary youngsters will have no chance to be champion in future sports field. We can climb up to the peak of world's sports only if we selected the most talented children by scientific methods. So selecting is fatal to training the athletes.In the field of eurythmics, we develop a system of selecting in order to help the trainers to pick out the talented children more objectively and efficiently. This system not only can handle the data, find out the law in selecting, but also can demonstrate the abstract data by 3D body models, comparing to the standard model. So that the trainer can get the perceptive understanding at the same time. This article will pay much attention to the modeling method in the system.There are quite a few methods of human modeling, which can be divided into three types: element constructing, model renewal ing and samples interpolating. In practical, we usually combine or alter some of the basic methods for the need of system, in order to get satisfying outcome with limited computer resources. So in eurythmics selecting system, we construct human body templates of different age in form of surface model, then deform the model according to the sizes of some certain one. So we get the personalized model by parameterized modeling.Parameterized modeling includes constructing body template models, parameterizing and deformating.Firstly, we must construct the basic human body template models which has the characteristics of eurythmics athletes.Then, we shall parameterize the human body template model in the way people selecting eurythmics athletes. The parameterizing process includes screening various morphological indicators to get the decisive ones,dividing human body model into several parts and getting the accurate sizes of the model.In use, when we get the sizes of given person, the system compares the given size with the standard one, and gets the ratio of deformation, then deformates each part of the model template. Thinking that almost all parts of human body has the characteristics of axis, when we perform deformation, we select the axial deformation method. Main morphological indicators includes length, width, and girth. Different types of indicators has different kinds of deformation methods.At last, I introduce the main structure of selecting system for eurythmics athletes, and the implementation of parameterized human body modeling in the system.
