In recently years, radio communication technology has achieved high-speed development. When commercial operation of the 3rd generation mobile communication(3G)system in global area reached success and our country also will begin its operation, people have concentrated their notices into the new generation wide-band radio communication system. OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) is a new technology to get higher transmission speed in radio communication. OFDM enhances capability to withstand multi-path impact through dividing the transmit channel into several parallel orthogonal narrower sub-channels and distributing transmitted signal into those sub-channels.But in radio channel environment, because of transmission delay and multi-path interfere, the transmitted signals will suffer with inter-symbol interference (ISI) and inter-channel interference (ICI), furthermore, system can not eliminate these interferences completed through the OFDM features. So OFDM system has requirement to research and design radio channel equalizer. This thesis mainly proposed a new channel equilibrium algorithm based on IEEE802.11a WLAN standard, moreover, verified the algorithm through software simulation and circuit implementation.Firstly, a physical simulation platform of the IEEE802.11a wireless local area standard had been set t up in Matlab Simulink environment. Simulation of IEEE802.11a under different radio channel, modulation and transmission speed conditions can be implemented conveniently.Secondly, a new channel equalizer of IEEE802.11a was proposed which includes channel estimation, equalization and phase tracing three parts. Performance of equalizer...
