Augmented Reality(AR) is a recent research hotspot, arising from the late of 1980s. It has high applicable potential in these fields of industry,medical navigation and entertainment, etc. AR is a technology in which a computer-generated image is superimposed onto the user's vision in the real world, giving the user additional information generated from the computer model. The AR system brings the computer into the"world"of the user by augmenting the environment with virtual objects. AR supplements reality, rather than completely replacing it.This thesis comprehensively introduces and analyses the conception, characteristics, applications and the crux of Augmented Reality. We analyze the configuration of AR system further, introduce the key technologies of AR research. The emphasis of this thesis is to expound the technology of AR tracking. Moreover, we explore some kind of tracking technology, including their advantages and disadvantages. We improve algorithm based on classical angle algorithm and make it more powerful, accurate and anti-interferential.
