The Study Of Combined OFDM And Space-Time Coding

The paper is focused on the system of the combined OFDM and MIMO.This system can improve the reliability of the communication. First, we study the character of OFDM. The orthogonality between the sub-carriers can eliminate the intercarrier interference; and the length of cyclic prefix at least is equal to the maximum of delay. These two conditions can ensure the OFDM to work normally. The second chapter introduces the MIMO wireless channel. The third chapter is MIMO. We study the different MIMO coding case, including Space-Time Block Coding, Space-Time Trellis Codes, Layered Space-Time Codes. Based on the above study, we analysis the system of combined OFDM and STBC, the system of combined OFDM and STTC. I realize the STBC-OFDM system with Matlab, and through the curve of simulation, we achieved the conclusion about the advantage of STBC-OFDM. Finally the article is end with the prospect and application of MIMO-OFDM.
