Research On Rank Algorithms Of Search Engine

The appearance and development of internet has brought a basically change in information searching area. And the rank algorithms for search engines are playing an important role when users searching in this new environment.PageRank and Hits, the two main existing rank algorithms for search engine, have already been explored by new improvements in the researches both at home and abroad. And some mature general rank models suitable for search engine were generated basing on these researches.This thesis analyzes the background of search engine development in and abroad, as well as the SEO, an important technology to the rank of search engine. Besides, it also analyzes and compares rank algorithms for search engine in and abroad and then concludes improving methods for existing technologies.According to the shortages of existing algorithms, this thesis gives an improvement of Hits based on category, which improves the Hits from both web preprocess and analysis of web links. It also designed a general improved model, which gives a general formula considering content of webs, links of webs and feedback from users. And at last, a simulator was designed to validate the improvements of the general model.
