Study On Project Of Fix Network's Intellective Reformation Of Chongqing Telecom

This subject comes from the project of fix network's intellective reformation of Chongqing Telecom Limited Company. Fix network's intellective reformation is not only one of main missions of China Telecom Group, which is implementing the revolution strategy changing from traditional telecommunication carriers to integrative information service provider, but also the transition method of the traditional switch network from public switched telephone network (PSTN) to next generation network. The core of fix network's intellective reformation is to bring new unit - smart home locator register (SHLR) into fix network to save and manage all customer's data together, that solve the main disadvantage caused by data saved dispersedly and the technical limitation of business triggering, and provide ability to respond to new business quickly in whole network, and build up solid foundation for evolution of fix network and multi-network crasis in future.In this paper, several contents as follows are studied:(1) Discuss the main communication protocols of soft switch: MAP (Mobile Application part) and MAP+ (Predigestion of Mobile Application part); study the three kinds of basic projects of network's constitution for fix network's reformation; analyse the advantage and disadvantage of the three kinds of basic projects from four aspects: difficulty of network reformation, influence of multi-network crasis in future, network's construction expense, network's operation and maintenance expense.(2) Base on the present conditions and characteristics of the switch network of Chongqing Telecom, thinking about the difficulty of network reformation, considering the crasis of network such as fix network, PHS network, the third generation mobile network in future, the project of network's constitution for fix network's reformation which most adapt to Chongqing Telecom is established. With Soft Switch technology, the maximum protection will be given to the existing investment of telecommunication network and the smooth transition from the existing telecommunication network to NGN will be accelerated. That is, using Soft Switch, we can easily achieve the interworking of conventional PSTN and PHS network and 3G network with no impact on the services of the existing network. So,it is the best solution for Chongqing Telecom. In the paper,the solution of soft switch, the solution of SHLR, the solution of service provider and the solution of IP network will be introduced especially.
