The Research And Implementation Of An Ontology-based Operation Document Understanding System

The operation document understanding is an important job in C3I System. Template-based method and natural-language-based method are most commonly used now, but these two methods are less flexible and cannot well express the semantic relationship in special fields. This dissertation discusses about the theory, technology and method of the operation document understanding based on ontology. A new thought of intelligent understanding of the operation document is proposed.The major research works of the dissertation are as follow:1. This dissertation analyses the characteristic, syntax and actuality of the operation document in order to understand the content of the operation document better. The author puts forward the realization of XML-standardization of the operation document by describing its structure with Schema.2. By analyzing the definition and representation of the ontology, this dissertation focuses on how to establish the ontology in military field under the guidance of ontology idea and establish the hierarchical categorization system.3. Based on the XML-standardization of the operation document and the formation of military ontology, a model of operation document understanding based on ontology is established. The military document is converted to a mid format without ambiguousness by computer to enhance the efficiency of battle command with information extraction and military ontology matching under the support of military ontology, rule base and dictionary bank.By introducing ontology into operation document understanding, the operation document is abstracted in the semantic level by use of the semantic expression of ontology. After being matched in the level of attribute, the ontology is uniquely affirmed in the level of concept. So the efficiency and accuracy of ontology matching are enhanced. This is the main achievement of this dissertation.
