As the popularization of Internet, e-mails are more and more frequently used, benefiting from its high efficiency, convenience and low cost. As e-mail server systems, it should continusly suply its efficient service all the time, but basic service systems can't meet the needs. Many factors can induce malfunction and failure, for example, power cut, software and hardware failure, network block or interrupt, system overload, data storage failure , and so on. Especially e-mail system is one of mayor security targets. At the same time, virus emails and spams are bringing endless trouble to Internet users, network administrators and Internet service providers. To meet continual and efficient service, we must design a high-availability system. This article are aiming at this point. It will detailedly research the theory and technology of the high-availability systems (including the e-mail systems). In the article the author present a new infrastructure of high-availability secure e-mail systems. This article includes some parts, which are basic e-mail server system, e-mail security, e-mail content-based filtration, server credibility and load balancing, high availability of network , high availability of data storage, and the new new infrastructure of high-availability secure e-mail systems. |
