The Application Of WLAN In Field Operations Command Network System

With the quick development of high new techniques taken the information technique as core and the extensive application in the military field, the form of war has been transferred from mechanize one to information-based one. In the future if the war breaks out suddenly the war progress speeds up, and the opportunity for fighting flit, the demand for flexibility and real-time in wartime communication is highly increasing. Because of the broad application of C4ISR system in the troops, the need of quantity of data is also raising. The traditional wired network is poor at the ambulation, so it is restricted in the divisional and regimental commanding net which needs exchanging battle fields continuously .The WLAN has good ambulation and can be easily installed, and it is flexible, fast and extension in use. As a result, adopting WLAN can solve these problems in the field battle commanding net.We set out from the WLAN development and discusses the military application condition of WLAN technology in this thesis. Based on the high mobility, the redundant reliability, the high secure characteristic of Field Operations Command Network, We study and analyze the technology of FHSS and DSSS and IEEE 802.1X secure protocol of WLAN safety system.
