A Research And Implementation Method Of Spatial Features-Based Image Retrieval

With the rapid advancement of the computing and Internet technology, the amount of various multimedia data including digital images increases in a surprising speed.In many current multimedia database systems, query or retrieval is only based on descriptive keywords of media, it ignores another important information resource(the content of media. Content-based image retrieval techniques usually use the color histogram of the full image. But this method can't contain the spatial features. In this paper, we introduce a color-pair retrieval method that derived from color histogram.It can reflect the spatial information of the images. Therefore it can retrieval images with clear boundary.The retrieval results are not affected by image's size,rotation and also the little changes of light.We first give an introduction to the state of the art of content-based image analysis and retrieval technology. In the introduction, we review the analysis and representation of color features-based image retrieval, distill method of image file color features. Research base of the text is color histogram of the full image,passing pick-up color features of common image,having geted color histogram of the full image. In this paper, we introduce a color-pair retrieval method that derived from color histogram.As for color features retrieval techniques,We first get collectivity introduceing, discussing a lot of color space.Distilling color features,Having analysed theory and application of color histogram, Color Moments, Color Coherence Vector, Color Correlogarm,local color features. It is important that Having researched distilling and realization method of color histogram.As for researching common image file color features distilling, Having discussed concretely form and features of BMP image, SGI image,PNG image,JPEG image,MacPaint image,IMGimage.Explaining particular pick-up of their color histogram.
