During more than 20 years' development, the publication of China have made great progress in varieties and sell of the books. The book industry has been formed. But accompanied with the development and prosperity of the books, the publication existed the tendency that the reduction of the printing and the industrial profit have been receded and the phenomenon of the marketing foam have been made.Although so many publishing companies realized the significance of the topic-design, under the pressure of economic, they still didn't have good accumulations in topic-design. It's difficult for them to break the old frame so that a great deal of topic-designs imitated each other.After entered the WTO, the publication of China faced the competition with the publishing companies in the developed countries. How to deal with the situation in face of the challenge and the opportunity? How to unify the social property and the economic property in the publication? In order to make profit in the marketing, the key is that pay more attention to the topic-design of the publication.From the point of view of communication and publication, the thesis aimed at the situation of publishing company and the competition tendency, took hold of the pivotal point—topic-design in the processes of the publication and analyzed its characteristics, existed problems and the operation principles.
