Delivering quality video over wireless channels in real time is a challenging task.This isprimarily because of the throughput of a wireless channel may be reduced due to multipath fading,cochannel interference,and noise disturbance.Therefore,there is a critical need forrobust transmission of video over wireless channels.Recently,the emergence of MIMO-OFDM has stimulated great interest in real time video communication,because this system can offer broadband for the multimedia data transmission over wireless channels.But there are some problems when transmit the video stream over the MIMO-OFDM. because the conventional video coding schemes base on single antenna but not multiple antenna.The video signal should be decomposed into several sub-stream before it transmits over MIMO-OFDM.This paper proposes a multiple description video coding scheme to match the multiple antenna system.We use a method based on 3D-SIPHT to re-arrange the coefficients into wavelet trees according to their spatio-temporal representation.Each wavelet tree is coded and decoded independently,thus,the performance of error resilience for this scheme can be improved.In order to obtain additional capability of error resilience for the compressed bitstream,we introduce Error resilient entropy coding(EREC)and corresponding error concealment strategy into this scheme.By adopted EREC,the automatic resynchronization of each tree is obtained at the receiving end,,and the bits impacted by the error propagation are more likely located in a finite region.We also develop error detection scheme for the decoder to checkout the error bit SO that the corrupted coefficients can be compensated by other surrounding coefficients.Experimental results show that our proposed method can achieve a good error resilient performance.
