In the progress of the programmable Exchanger running, the alert must be handled at once. I n this way ,the people working on it could maintence and monitor the state of the Exchanger, So,the quality of the alert system of exchanger could impact the security of the exchanger directly.The Exchanger in our company is produced by NORTEL the NO is option serials, the kind of Exchanger show some defect in the running procedure. For example, only alert code was provided when alert happens. No details provided. So translation must be done by engineer. It is hard to recite so many alert code meaning; no sound and light provided, when alert happens, no direct sign happen. Everything happens silent, hard to find. No public interface provided, could not support the integrating of different system.This paper is a set of real time monitor and alert system on programmable exchanger, it's applied to Option81 model produced by NOTEL cop. This paper complete both the software and hardware design. This system pick up the alert code from the exchanger, specify the level of the alert and transmit the alert to different sites, different sites use different methord to display.This system combine software, internet transmit and hardware to implement the function.RS232 is adopted to transmit the date from exchanger to this system; JAVA was used to fulfill the software function; SQL database provide the alert code specification; and internet technology TCP and FTP complete the transmission. The hardware adopted MCU, which is charge of the alert display. The system provided reliable transmit protocol for data transmission. CRC check was used to guarantee the correct of the data.This paper content arranges as follows:Chapter 1 introduces the background of the research, the general development of the Exchanger technology and the main content of research; Chapter 2 studies the technology which is relied on by the alert system; Chapter 3 gives design and implement of the hardware in the alert system. The hardware envionorment of the system relies on Router and Exchanger; Chapter 4 gives the software designing scheme of the alert system based on JAVA.Chapter 5 is summing-up and expectation.
