The Fiber Amplifiers are more and more attractive for its particular virtues such as on-line, wide band, and low noises etc, and they are very fit for dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) system of next generation charactered by its super large capacity and long transmission distance. The Erbium-doped Fiber Amplifier (EDFA) and Fiber Raman Amplifier (FRA) are two research hotspots in the fiber amplifiers research fields. In this thesis, the main study of fiber amplifier includes:First, based on analyzing the work principle and employ effective mathematical model of the EDFA and FRA; and improve the Comprehensive Gain-noise Figure Analysis numerical method for EDFA and Average Power Analysis numerical method for FRA; we simulate the transmission characteristics of the two fiber amplifiers. The numerical methods convergence rapidly and have short running time which within 1or 2 seconds.
