The Research And Implementation Of Computerized Adaptive Testing

The advantages of IRT, IRT model, basic theory of multidimensional adaptive testing are introduced in this paper. With the basic of 3-PL IRT model, a unidimensional computerized adaptive testing system based on Internet is programmed using SQL Server in background and VS.NET in foreground development environment. In our system, item selection, administration, trait estimation are implemented and fixed-length, variable-length as termination strategies are using together. The system can fit different subject testing on the WEB as long as we import corresponding subject item pool. With an eye to the shortcomings of UCAT, the item selection, trait estimation are discussed in theory and the algorithm of Bayesian item selection about MAT is putted forward. A extended a-stratified method using in MAT is discussed in order to balance the item usage with a pool and improve the test security.
