Research And Design Of Simulation And Emulation Testbed For Satellite Network

Moving satellite network is a main development direction of the future network technique. It has much meaning to the national defense science and technology, also to the society which is information-based. The simulation and emulation testbed for satellite network is a domestic and international research hotspot.The core target of the project lies in designing and carrying out a comprehensive satellite network simulation and emulation testbed in order to design, verify and test software and hardware for satellite network system.This paper first accords to the extensive background about the project, followed the domestic and international present research situation of each aspect. Then put forward the concept of a new kind of semi-object simulation and emulation for satellite network, and study the basic principle and frames. At the same time, based on network simulation and network emulation, give out a full explanation and a whole concept of the new way to research the network system which is semi-object. Then come up with a new model to implement it effectively and study the implementation techniques. At last, based on the testbed design, study the key technique of implement the packet intercept for connecting network simulation environment to network emulation environment.Though research on the comprehensive satellite network simulation and emulation testbed just starts, this paper does the related foundation work of the project. It still needs to do more to improve it. This domain has much foreground, it will get much more development from now on.
