The encoding of video is one of the hot topic in the information technology field. Video sequence has rather relativity on time axis, Motion Estimation and Motion Compensate can reduce this relativity effectively, so it has been widely used in many video standards such as H.26x and MPEGIn this thesis, We Firstly introduces some basic technologies in video coding including the macro-block size, prediction of initial search point, search strategy and so on, then simulate some kind of block matching motion estimation algorithms and analysis there performance.
