Batch process is a common manner in industrial production opposite to continuous process. It is important to adopt excellent optimal control strategy to promote the production's automation level for elevating production efficiency, cutting down waste and protecting environment. So the research and application of automation theory always supply great support for industrial production. In turn the development of industry may motivate the development of control theory greatly. The research and application of control theory acquired considerable achievements in the field of continuous process. But batch process has its own feature, the control methods that have been proved successful in continuous process can not be directly used in batch process. Because batch processes widely exists in the field of chemical and pharmaceutical industries which relate to state's economy and people's life, it is of significance to promote the control level of batch processes.Because batch process is complex and nonlinear it is difficult to get its mechanistic model.
