The Godson series microprocessors are the first attempt to design general-purpose microprocessors in China. The operator system running on Godson2 is Linux. In order to improve the performance of Godson2 system, we must improve the performance both the applications and operator system. This paper focuses the performance of operator system on Godson2.This thesis analyzed the procedure of Linux memory management on Godson2, improve the performance by software TLB and multi-pages. Results show that they can reduce much of TLB refill exceptions and reduce much of excrescent memory accesses and improve the performance by about 10%. |
