Medical ultrasound is a new and comprehensive science developing rapidly in recent years. As an important application in medical ultrasound, the diagnostic ultrasound plays a great role with its advantages in safety, speed and real-time, and has an extensive use in clinical medicine. With the development of science and technology and people's attention to their health, the significance of medical ultrasound has been well accepted. However, more and more attention to living environment and medical situation brings new requirements to ultrasound system; the color ultrasound has been popularized as the traditional B-mode ultrasound can not meet people's needs.Diagnostic color ultrasound instrument applies color Doppler technology to overlay the estimation result of blood flow parameter such as velocity of blood flow on the B-mode gray-scale images by using pseudo color method. It not only can show the anatomical structure of human beings through B-mode image, but also can display information such as magnitude and direction of blood flow velocity. This provides useful auxiliary information for clinical diagnosis. Though the present color ultrasound performs very well, it is too expensive. The more information it collects, the more difficult it may face to meet the accuracy and real-time requirements. Many manufacturers apply expensive components to solve this problem; however, this adds cost to color ultrasound. Therefore, how to reduce the cost and keep its high performance becomes a research subject in a wide range.
