Research On Network Intrusion Detection Using PrefixSpan Arithmatic Based On Axis Character

Along with the fast development of the network technology and the universal application of network environment, network security is increasingly outstanding. Traditional Encryption techniques and firewall technique can't meet the expectations fully. And as a safe means, intrusion detection techniques have displayed its important role.In fact, intrusion detection technology can be regarded as the analyze process of network's audit data. With the development of operating system and network technology, network's audit data has increased sharply. So in intrusion detection, we need study efficacious technology to deal with audit data. In current research, we use data mining technology to draw characteristic models from tremendous amount of audit data. The application of data mining technology has become one of the most important researches of intrusion detection.The intrusion detection system is an important part of computer network security, it realize real time detect function for intrusion information. At present the technology based on network and misuse detection is not maturity, and is still in research hotspot. The paper set out from analyzing the key technology of intrusion detection, mostly research an application that based on axis characters and the Prefixspan Arithmetic used in intrusion detection system, and design an intrusion detection system-PAIDS (Prefixspan and Axis character-based Intrusion Detection System) based on network and misuse detection.The paper's research work mostly surround the few aspects as follows:1) Analyze the posture of network security and security technology currently, and summarize the research history and actuality of intrusion detection technology, labor the methodological shortage of the intrusion detection that already exist, and point out the research direction of intrusion detection.2) Research the information collection mechanism of network intrusion detection and the method of distill characters, and based on it summarized the character data to axis character. Building a state space that can reflect the character of the network intrusion mode.3) Apply a kind of sequence mining arithmetic-PrefixSpan Arithmetic. Using this arithmetic in intrusion data mining process, and based on axis character, solve the detect problem that have frequent intrusion characters, and use data mining can find new intrusion form.
