Technology of mobile robots is an important branch in robotics. From the pilotless transporting robot of manufacturing industry to interspace exploration and energy development robot of no-manufacturing industry and intelligent service robot, those all powerfully show that mobile robot is progressing with human being together. Technology of mobile robot is very comprehensive, and as far as its control field is concerned, its key technologies mainly include path planning, navigation and orientation, path tracking and vehicle-control technology. Based on intelligent hospital guide mobile robot, the main research work of this dissertation includes robot kinematics, control system, navigation system based on information-fusion and fuzzy control.Concrete work and innovation spot of this dissertation includes:1. Discussed the development situation and development tendency , theory and key technologies of mobile robot.2. Discussed the development situation and development tendency, design characteristic and flow of embedded system.3. Analyzed the kinematical characteristic of mobile robot. According to the opening development trend of the control system of today robot, the control system of mobile robot has been researched and developed, whose core is ARM9,and the system includes DC stepping motors.
