In the latest 70's, the conception of software radio was first mentioned by American Scientist. In the 1992, American began to apply this technique in the military affairs. The main point of the conception about software radio is as follows: first, making the A/D and D/A close to the antenna; secondly, accomplishing as much as function by software. Since software radio takes advantages of flexibility and stabilization, it has important effect on the development of modern radar. High frequency software radar is a demonstration of modern technique applying in modern radar. High frequency radar is also a high frequency ground wave super resolution radar used on the seaside, and meantime it is one of projects of National 211 for building subject. This paper based on high frequency radar and modern signal processing describes the component of the high frequency radar on function and hardware. The signal that the radar system used mostly decides the capability and the complex of the radar. This paper is focus on generating different digital signals used by high frequency radar. And it request this kind of signal does not involve the complex of the processing system .Because the signal is used in practice ,so using this signal into high frequency software radio is an important part of this paper. This paper mainly adopt LFICW signal and phase coding signal, this kind of signals are used in actual radar system broadly. This article also use the signal into high frequency radar and have achieve to control simulation front for generating signal ,receiving signal ,and processing signal according to time sequence .all of this have been achieved in real radar system.
