The Development Of The Conversion System Between STEP-NC And XML Files For Manufacturing On Net

The NC (Numerical Control) technology holds an important status in manufacturing industry, and the standardization of NC code is a developing trend. New NC code STEP-NC provides the whole process information, and will be instead of the traditional code (G&M) step by step. This project bases on the AP-238 of ISO10303, does research with the exchange between STEP-NC file and XML file, and develops two programmes which solve the problems of the STEP-NC file can't share on net and how to achieve the network process.To share the STEP-NC file on net, we firstly do research on the AIM (Application Interpret Model) which introduced in AP-238. Designed XML model database that corresponded to STEP-NC entity base on the AIM mapping table is showed in AP-238. The database designed in this project contains three characters: hole,slot and planet. It corresponds with about 40 STEP-NC entities. With the model database I develop the conversion programme from STEP-NC file to XML file, it can change the STEP-NC file to XML file, the conversion is rifeness because of its establishment baseed on the ISO standard. XML file can be issued on net as a data supplier.After the research of SAX interface in XML, I have designed the XML parser which can read XML page from net and transform the data to a new STEP-NC file. By using this programme, Open Numerical Controller can process by reading the XML file from net, and implement the shared STEP-NC file indirectly.Integrating these programmes, we implement the conviction from STEP-NC file to XML file and XML file to STEP-NC file. They solve the bottleneck of the share and application of STEP-NC file on net, they have great meaning for STEP-NC development.
