Wall-climbing robot is a special type of robot, which can execute kinds of works on the wall places with multi-available modern technology, such as cleaning out outside wall of building, inspecting inside-and-outside of fisher, spaceflight of examination, spraying coating huge wall space and fixing tile in building trade, etc. so it has a broad use value.Based on lots of references, this paper firstly presents the classification of wall-climbing robot in accordance with absorption and driver, analyses the features of wall-climbing robots, and introduces the development situation of wall-climbing robot. With considerations of both techniques and practical application, the technical difficulties in developing the Wall-climbing robot system is discussed. Then the dissertation presents a prototype model, which is a new pneumatic Wall-climbing robot.
