With the magic development of information technology including semiconductor technology, communication technology and computing technology, we have passed the era of Personal Computer and Networking and are coming into the down of post-PC era. Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN), which is made by the convergence of sensor, nested computation, networks and wireless communication technologies, is believed one of the most important technologies in the 21 century. It is a novel technology about acquiring and processing information and a late-model wireless network of infrastructureless network. It can be used for testing, sensing, collecting and processing information of monitored objects in the same time and transmit to the user who need it. WSN is a new research area of computer science and technology and has a wide application future. Both academia and industries are very interested in it.This paper is mainly about researching how to locate the bomb in the shooting range systems of airplane by the WSN. How to locate the object accurately is a difficult problem in the research of WSN. Also this is an important aspect in the application of WSN. In the open, because influence of weather and barrier, the sensors which working based on the physics domino offect will engender great measure error when they detect the signal of light, heat and electricity. It is inaccessibility to the request of application. Now the system which works based on the theory of three global orientations and the photoelectricity theodolite need to apperceive the signal of light, so the location precision is not accurate in the practice application. The sound will lead the main effect in detecting the object orientation because the sound's inherent characteristcs, its wavelength is longer and can spread round the barrier effectively. We can also compensate the effect of wind speed, temperature and other environment factors to the sound speed by the theory formula.According to the require of orientation precision of the bomb drop in the shooting range of airplane and actual environment characteristics, firstly, this paper analyzed several object orientation technologies in common use in WSN, contrasted advantages and disadvantages of each technology, finded out the orientation method of hyperbola based on TDQA adapted to the request of this item, improved on the arithmetic, and cipher out the orientation point by working out the triangle barycenter in practical circs.
