Evolutionary Algorithm is a kind of random search and global optimization method based on natural selection and genetic mechanism of the living beings. The core idea of the algorithm derives from the evolution course which is a natural, parallel and steady optimization course. In recent years, Evolutionary Algorithm has been greatly used to solve some complex optimization problems and widely applied in the fields of industry and engineering. However, premature and slow-speed convergence constantly happens in the application of Evolutionary Algorithm, which, to some extent, restricts the development and application of Evolutionary Algorithm.This thesis briefly reviews the progress of Evolutionary Algorithm. With using the concept of the chaos theory, the memory and diversity of the biological immunity, cooperative evolution in the nature, we propose two new hybrid evolutionary algorithms, on the basis of analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of the algorithm, as Immune Co-evolution Algorithm and Chaotic Immune Co-evolution Algorithm.The essence of Immune Co-evolution Algorithm consists in doing two separate adaptable searches, namely, global search and local search, by using inhesion connection of group competition and cooperation, which could improve exterior adaptable operators in present algorithms.
