Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) is a new type and effective detecting equipment for object which is under ground. It has a lot of virtues, such as high efficiency surveying, simple operation, rapid sampling, nondestructive detection, high precision and high resolution, etc. So it has been an effective means for subsurface detection, and has been exerted important function in fields of geologic exploration, city construction, hydrological prospecting, environment engineering, archaeological studies, etc. The goal of signal processing in the GPR is eliminating interference, displaying object reflected wave by resolution as high as possible, picking up all kinds of useful parameter, so as to provide exact, reasonable geological explanation for GPR profile. The wavelet transforms has characteristic of multi-resolution analysis that can display partial feature of signal in time field and frequency field, so it has been successfully applied in relative fields of the Erath Physics and GPR.The paper is based on how to pick up useful signal from GPR signal in high noising background by multi-wavelet analysis. The paper mainly includes:1. The author analyses the transmitting principles of the Ground Penetrating Radar waves transmit in the attrition media. Because conductivity nature's difference of dielectric in underground surface or object will lead to change of way loss, electric field intensity, wave form of transmitting for high-frequency electromagnet waves, analyzing dielectric characteristic of material, the author looks for influence principles of the electromagnet waves for different material.2. Having deep studied application of the multi-wavelet transforms and complex analysis technology in the GPR signal processing. The space position and structure of underground boundary or geologic object are defined by collection, analysis, process of time field wave form.3. The author proceeds theoretical calculation of positive evolution for layer model, and introduced the multi-wavelet transforms and complex analysis technology into the model, showed the effectiveness of the algorithm.4.
