Based on optimize estimate methods , centered on electronic computer, and aimed at enhancing the precision of navigation data and extending the functions of single equipment or subsystem, system which combined some of navigation equipments on carrier into one organic system is called integrated navigation system (INS).Taking the development of the Integrated Navigation Display and Control Console (INDCC) made by our school as the background, use the dominant software and hardware technology which in the embedded field in China to design and develop the embedded platform based the ARM and the VxWorks.Firstly, the paper summaries the produce, development and character of the Integrated Navigation system and combines the task to introduce the composing of the naval-ship Navigation system and the function of the each part. At the same time, it describes the whole design idea and the expected effect of the ARM-VxWorks embedded platform; Secondly, the paper combines the task to dissertate the VxWorks embedded system which produced by American WindRiver company and the ARM MPU, which the two key technology of the embedded system; Thirdly, the paper introduces the design and implementation of the embedded platform based on ARM-VxWorks including the hardware and the software. The design of hardware : S3C44B0X CPUmodule, memory system module, communication module, debugging interface module, HM interface module, power reset module and extended bus interface; The design of software: Design and develop the leading programme (bootrom) of the VxWorks5.5 operation system; Transplant the VxWorks5. 5 embedded operation system to the ARM-VxWorks platform. Accomplish the connecting and the...
