With the quick development of bionics, Micro-electromechanical Systems (MEMS), high-density information processing and integration controlling technology, micro-bionic robot technique has become research focus of military robots. In addition, the research on amphibious military robot has become a hotspot all over the world, because its advantages, such as high performance of concealment, low power consumption and cost, convenient for disposal etc. The subject study is supported by the project of "Amphibious Crab-liked Robot Study", which is funded by NSFC (National Natural Science Foundation of China), aims at establishing a micro-platform of robots with high adaptation to complicated landform, high credibility and small volume. It is significant for exploring ocean resource, improving the fighting efficiency and reduce casualty.The author has reviewed relative researches about underwater micro-robots and underwater sealtechnology domestically and abroad.The analysis of researches on seal technology shows that nowadays seal technology is widely used in fields such as space-flight, aviation, navigation, mine, metallurgy, electricity generation and so on. Many accidents occurred are due to the failure of seals, which cause people to pay more attention to them.The seal technology studied in this paper is to make use of a certain physical rule, some technology and devices to get some local environment, which is needed by underwater micro-robot. The research on the underwater seal technology is very important for the underwater micro-robot. The paper has researched on the underwater seal technology by the seal research on amphibious crab-liked robot.There are many kinds of forms of the seal technology.
