The hydroacoustic communication network technology was a emerging network technology. It has extensive application on Marine data collection, Pollution Monitoring, disaster warning navigational assistant and underwater military defense. Underwater unmanned machines equipped with sensors such as UUV and AUV, can be used in development of marine resources and marine data collection, coordination and monitoring mission. Hydroacoustic network communications technology is the key technology to implement these applications. Hydroacoustic communications network was composed of many sensors and equipment. They were deployed in the implementation of specific regional cooperation surveillance tasks.In this paper, we carried out major research agreement Mac layer, Hydroacoustic communication network has its special form. Its Mac layer protocol design goals are different from the traditional land-based wireless network.In hydroacoustic communication network, Primary consideration is saving energy, then secondary is expansionary. While terrestrial wireless networks played more importance on throughput, delay and fairness.The study focused on IEEE802.11 agreements and S-MAC agreement. DCF mechanism in IEEE802.11 agreements was nodes sharing wireless channel. Access to the basic means of data transmission, It combines CSMA/CA technical and (ACK) technology. RTS-CTS control mechanisms in agreement effectively solve hidden terminal problem, The agreement could be considered as representatives on the basis of competition Mac agreement.S-MAC agreement combines benefits of fixed and random competition category of MAC agreement, Its main basises ars energy efficiency and expansion. Due to many factors that will consum more energy, S-MAC agreement used cyclical monitoring and data fragmentation to reduced energy consumption.Finally, IEEE802.11 and S-MAC agreement are studied by simulation in this paper.It shows that In the effectiveness of energy, S-MAC is better than 802.11 agreements, But in other functions, Conversely.
