With the applications of computer and the development of information industry, more attention is paid to information security. Information security is composed of security protocol and cryptographic algorithm, the latter is the base and core. Therefor, it is very important to study and analyze the popular cryptographic algorithm for the sake of nation's information security. By way of the new American data encryption standard, Rijndael Algorithm is actually be a international standard, furthermore, Rijndael algorithm is free and open, so that the Rijndael crypto product will gained more applications.In the thesis, first, the base of mathematics and keystone and design principle of Rijndael algorithm are presented, the structure of it is dissertated carefully, the advantages and disadvantages of it are summarized. And then the security of Rijndael algorithm is analysed. In dissertating, the mightiness attack and the differential cryptanalysis and the linear cryptanalysis and the square attack are emphases. The capability of anti-attack is summarized.On the key build of Rijndael algorithm aspect, to remedy the former algorithm adopts first Nk words as seed key. It is easy that Rijndael algorithm exposes seed key. New key build scheme is devised. So, it is advances the security of the algorithm.On the optimizing of Rijndael algorithm aspect, Production of Rijndael algorithm is summarized from domestic and overseas research. Optimization scheme takes look-up table manipulation. Base on advantage and disadvantage analyzed and summarized of pipelining implemention and parallel scheme, circulation manipulation replaced, look-up table manipulation's FPGA implemention scheme is devised.
