The technique of 3-D profile measurement has been widely used in the fields of conversing engineering, medical treatment, mould design, CAD/CAM, online checking and so on. So the paper was based on the technique of 3-D profile measurement, adopted the grating strips that could project the object's surface, and researched the system calibration algorithm and unwrapping, with the aims of high precision, automation, iteration and convenience.The technique of 3-D profile measurement based on grating strips project, which created the strips by the computer, projected it through the projector, and captured the strips image by CCD camera. Because it has a little angle between CCD camera and projector, the captured image from CCD camera, which was modulated by object surface, was distorted grating image, the high information could be obtained by the triangle method from distorted grating strips.After the system captured images through the CCD camera, and image was processed by control software, it would process the system calibration, obtained the important parameters of 3-D profile high information. During the capturing and processing image, it designed the software with VC++6.0 language, completed some of functions including the capturing image, switching bitmap, transforming threshold and so on, researched the system calibration algorithm and unwrapped with the matlab6.5 language.In the system calibration, in order to conquering tradition calibration of the localization, he parallel and perpendicular, adopted the new system calibration to measure the system. Based on this method, it analyzed the interior and exterior parameters of CCD camera in etail.
