The thesis presents a new determination method of the decomposition order in de-noising method based on wavelet transform, and gives two kinds of new image denosing methods. It consists of five chapters.Chapter 1 summarizes the basic problem, the research actuality and the future research directions of the wavelet image denoising.Chapter 2 gives a summary explaination of wavelet transform, multi-resolution analysis and wavelet image denoising.Chapter 3 is one of the important contents of the thesis. During image denosing methods, a new determination method of decomposition order is presented, and the simulation experiments and theoretic analysis show that the method is effective .Chapter 4 is the other important content of the thesis. Two kinds of new image denoising methods are discussed according to the ideas of Embedded Zerotree Wavelet (EZW) encoder and separate character of signals and noises. The simulation experiments illuminate that the method is effective and feasible.Finally,the conclusions and some future research problems are given in Chapter 5.
